Welcome to the Ranch

We believe in mindful ranching. In raising our cattle on pasture and as
a herd, providing a high quality of life. Conscience of staying
connected with the earth and stewarding the land’s natural seasonal
cycles, helping to sustain the upland prairie ecosystem. The cattle are
rotationally grazed, grass fed, and grain finished. We are local to
Monmouth – Independence, farm direct, and we protect and restore
rare Oregon white oak and upland prairie together with raising the
beef.  The ranch is located in the foothills of the Oregon Coast range,
in the Luckiamute Watershed.

Our Products

We sell custom cut beef, on the whole, half, or quarter side, sometimes called locker beef.  Buying beef in bulk is part of the slow food movement, a grassroots movement that recognizes the need to preserve local food cultures and traditions.  You have one family raising the beef and one butcher preparing your custom order.  Buying in bulk also saves money overall because you are getting a variety of cuts of beef ranging averaging $7.50 to $8.00 per pound.  They are raised following USDA guidelines.

Our Story

We manage 87 acres of rare Oregon white oak woodlands in conjunction with our pasture raised beef.  Our pastures are a mix of native upland prairie and enhanced pasture for haying.  Oregon has cool season grasses that only allow for spring and summer grazing.  Our 40-acre hay field provides a local source of hay that is need ed to get the beef through fall and winter.   Our cattle are suited for Willamette Valley climate in that they are an Angus/Hereford cross.
